Why Choose an ECOsyNRG Product?
The most technically advanced and safest charging solutions offering 'best value' for money on the market
in addition to 'intelligently' communicating with the Electric Vehicle, can also operate as 'smart interfaces' to the GRID and the HOME or PREMISES by interacting with GRID Systems and communicating with other devices such as smart meters and other smart in-home devices.
For general information and benefits related to 'charging' an EV at various locations please select from the options presented.
Home charging is a low-cost, highly convenient way for the EV driver to recharge. Home charging allows EV owners to charge their vehicle whenever the car is parked beside their charging station. This is usually carried out in the early evening/overnight period as this is typically when the car is not being used.
The ecosynrg(Home Plus)charge point is our entry level 'smart' charger and is ideal for home use. It is a 32A 7.2kW variable charger designed to charge the electric vehicle at over twice the speed of conventional charging from a standard BS 1363 13A socket. A dedicated supply from the fuse-board is required to charge at the maximum rate. Access the many in built features using simple to use interface screens which give the user total control over when and how 'charging' takes place (refer datasheets on SHOP page). Configure the charger to whichever settings best suit your requirements.
One major benefit of driving an EV is the 'fuel cost' savings. Driving an electric car costs just 2-3p per mile compared to 13-14p per mile for conventional cars. Also, due to its lack of moving parts, servicing an electric car will cost considerably less than servicing a conventional car.
Using a Home charging station to provide AC charging energy to the electric vehicle is, first and foremost, for safety. The station must follow protocols that ensure that AC power is only activated when an electric vehicle has been properly connected, and the continuity of the earth protective conductor is intact. ecosynrg(Home Plus)charge point is both easy and safe to use requiring no training. State of the Art safety features are integrated into the charger (patent pending) to ensure complete safety of operation. Simply plug in the car charging lead or connect the tethered cable to the car and the charger looks after the rest.
A commonly perceived disadvantage of battery-powered cars is the time required to recharge the batteries. For the average daily commute of 25 miles or less using the ecosynrg(Home Plus)charge point would require little over 1 hour to recharge the electric vehicle.
Our Workplace charging stations may also provide additional functionality/ information such as 'variable charging control', 'scheduling', 'power management', 'self diagnostics/maintenance tools', 'remote monitoring', 'event database' , fee collection capabilities, Demand Response and other features appropriate to specific applications.
Our ecosynrg range of chargers are well suited to the workplace. Access the many in built features using simple to use interface screens which give the user(s) total control over when and how 'charging' takes place. Our ecosynrg(PRO), (GOLD), and (PLATINUM) chargers allow from 5 to 100 users independent access to charging, using a range of options such as key pad or RFID cards. From 6A to 80A select which power rating is appropriate (maximum is dependent on model selected), or manage the 'total load' for a combination of chargers.
Early detection and accurate diagnosis of faults is an important and highly desirable attribute of 'enhanced customer care' and is made possible by continuous monitoring / measuring of important system components and logging a complete history of each charging event to on board memory.
Other in-direct benefits for a business from installing our chargers would be portraying company concern for their 'carbon footprint', enhancing their corporate sustainability efforts and could be a valuable complement to their employee energy education plans. Installing workplace charging is a sign of corporate leadership, showing a willingness to adopt advanced technology as well as increasing access to PEV charging opportunities. Workplace PEV charging also serves as an appealing employee benefit that can help attract and retain a workforce. As employees become more aware of the benefits of EVs they will perceive charging services in the workplace as an important benefit.
Our Fleet charging stations may also provide additional functionality/ information such as 'variable charging control', 'scheduling', 'power management', 'self diagnostics/maintenance tools', 'remote monitoring', 'event database' , fee collection capabilities, Demand Response and other features appropriate to specific applications.
Any company that operates commercial vehicles stands to gain on several levels by adopting an e-fleet strategy. From corporate responsibility to bottom-line savings, it makes sense. It is a central tenet of effective fleet management that all costs should be measured to an individual vehicle level, even if charging an electric vehicle is only a matter of a few Euros/ Pounds, it still needs to be accurately recorded.
By integrating an ecosynrg(PRO), (GOLD), or (PLATINUM) charger(s) to the energy usage in the building/premises the charger(s) can vary the rate at which the electric vehicle is charged depending on the energy usage measured. Using these measurements the charging station can modify in real time the maximum permissible current that can be drawn by the electric vehicle, or vehicles, so as not to overload the premises power (fuse board) board rating. This allows maximum use to be made of the available power. Combined with the ability to programme 'time of charging' to maximise the benefits of low cost electricity tariffs (TOU) and utilise an 'integrated' electricity meter or an MID meter (external) to track costs per vehicle or driver provides the user with unrivalled flexibility and control.
The major benefits of electrification of your fleet include:
Up to 75% reduction in fuel costs. One of the biggest costs of running a fleet is fuel use. One of the biggest benefits to introducing EVs to a business is the reduced refuelling costs, electricity being far cheaper than fuel at the pump. On the road this typically equates to 13p per mile for a car compared to 3p per mile for an electric car.
Significantly lower maintenance costs. EVs have fewer moving parts and therefore less scope for parts to wear out or be replaced, hence EVs will require less maintenance. EVs have fewer moving parts and savings could be in the order of 22%.
Government incentives vary depending on region. Governments have introduced a number of fiscal incentives to make electric and plug-in vehicles more attractive. Local and national incentives, from tax breaks through to direct purchase incentives and local congestion charge exemption, represent a significant reduction in whole life costs.
Reduction in company carbon footprint. Electric vehicles have lower greenhouse gas emissions than your typical car, but how much lower depends on where you recharge your electric vehicle. It all comes down to how clean a region’s electricity grid is. The greener the production of the electricity is that fuels the EV, the lower the electric vehicle's carbon footprint. Low carbon technologies are an important means of controlling the global effects of climate change. The electric vehicle (EV) is a key developing technology which is proving to be both a challenge and a great national and global economic and environmental opportunity. EVs charged entirely from renewable sources like wind and solar power produce virtually no global warming emissions.
Our Charging Stations can be stand alone or come with remote station management with options so you can offload certain tasks, such as station maintenance or billing, to third- party providers.
The profile for an EV driver who currently leases or owns an electric vehicle today is a very well educated, upper-middle class, white male in their early 50's with an ideal residence for charging their vehicle. The majority claim they earn well over six figures in household income each year. They are either the last of the Baby Boomer age or the beginning of Generation X.
This is important to remember as it takes time to charge an eletric vehicle, therefore they have time to spend in the store or shopping mall. All this makes for potentially good customers who may return on a daily basis. And since not every shop or mall has a charging station, they'll go back to the same place multiple times.
EV drivers will travel out of their way to visit charging station-equipped shops/malls because this is a convenient way to increase the 'range' of their electric vehicles while they go about their daily business.
If you are the owner of a shopping centre or mall, providing EV charging stations can influence who shops in your complex.
