Home charging is a low-cost, highly convenient way for the EV driver to recharge. Home charging allows EV owners to charge their vehicle whenever the car is parked beside their charging station. This is usually carried out in the early evening/overnight period as this is typically when the car is not being used.

The ecosynrg(Home Plus)charge point is our entry level 'smart' charger and is ideal for home use. It is a 32A 7.2kW variable charger designed to charge the electric vehicle at over twice the speed of conventional charging from a standard BS 1363 13A socket. A dedicated supply from the fuse-board is required to charge at the maximum rate. Access the many in built features using simple to use interface screens which give the user total control over when and how 'charging' takes place (refer datasheets on SHOP page). Configure the charger to whichever settings best suit your requirements.

One major benefit of driving an EV is the 'fuel cost' savings. Driving an electric car costs just 2-3p per mile compared to 13-14p per mile for conventional cars. Also, due to its lack of moving parts, servicing an electric car will cost considerably less than servicing a conventional car.

Using a Home charging station to provide AC charging energy to the electric vehicle is, first and foremost, for safety. The station must follow protocols that ensure that AC power is only activated when an electric vehicle has been properly connected, and the continuity of the earth protective conductor is intact. ecosynrg(Home Plus)charge point is both easy and safe to use requiring no training. State of the Art safety features are integrated into the charger (patent pending) to ensure complete safety of operation. Simply plug in the car charging lead or connect the tethered cable to the car and the charger looks after the rest.

A commonly perceived disadvantage of battery-powered cars is the time required to recharge the batteries. For the average daily commute of 25 miles or less using the ecosynrg(Home Plus)charge point would require little over 1 hour to recharge the electric vehicle.

Our ecosynrg range of chargers are well suited to the workplace. Access the many in built features using simple to use interface screens which give the user(s) total control over when and how 'charging' takes place. Our ecosynrg(PRO), (GOLD), and (PLATINUM) chargers allow from 5 to 100 users independent access to charging, using a range of options such as key pad or RFID cards. From 6A to 80A select which power rating is appropriate (maximum is dependent on model selected), or manage the 'total load' for a combination of chargers.

Early detection and accurate diagnosis of faults is an important and highly desirable attribute of 'enhanced customer care' and is made possible by continuous monitoring / measuring of important system components and logging a complete history of each charging event to on board memory.

By integrating an ecosynrg(PRO), (GOLD), or (PLATINUM) charger(s) to the energy usage in the building/premises the charger(s) can vary the rate at which the electric vehicle is charged depending on the energy usage measured. Using these measurements the charging station can modify in real time the maximum permissible current that can be drawn by the electric vehicle, or vehicles, so as not to overload the premises power (fuse board) board rating. This allows maximum use to be made of the available power. Combined with the ability to programme 'time of charging' to maximise the benefits of low cost electricity tariffs (TOU) and utilise an 'integrated' electricity meter or an MID meter (external) to track costs per vehicle or driver provides the user with unrivalled flexibility and control.
